Celebrations of the feast of St Ignatius Loyola will look very different in 2020 in the shadow of the Covid-19 pandemic, but every feast day ‘is a moment in which we renew our relationship, not with an ideal, but with a person’, says James Hanvey SJ. Perhaps, then, this is an opportunity to meet the Ignatius who knew what it was like to face crises and complications.
