The courage to take a risk for God’s promise

"...I would like to reflect, on this World Day of Prayer for Vocations, on how the Lord’s call makes us bearers of a promise and, at the same time, asks of us the courage to take a risk, with him and for him..." (From the message of Pope Francis for the 2019 World Day of Vocations)

We pray for more people to respond with generosity and love to God's call to follow him as religious in the Ignatian family, especially in the UK. We pray too for all those already in the various stages of initial formation, and for those whose role is to help young adults discern their path in life.

There are two discernment weekends due to be held soon for women open to a possible call to religious life in an Ignatian congregation:

May 24th - 26th - with the Faithful Companions of Jesus in Liverpool
July 12th - 14th - with the Society of the Sacred Heart in London

This summer there will also be two discernment retreats:

Compass Summer Discernment School, 22nd - 26th July in Birmingham
Discernment Retreat: Changing Directions, 23rd - 28th August at St Beuno's

Details of these and other weekends and retreats can be found on UK Religious Life
