The Holy See has just announced a Jubilee Year for the 450th anniversary of the birth of St Aloysius Gonzaga, a Jesuit scholastic who died aged 23, after working in a hospital for victims of the plague. He is the patron saint of young people and of students, and so it is fitting that this Jubilee Year should coincide with a year especially focused on the young - with the October 2018 Synod of Bishops in Rome, and he January 2019 World Youth Day in Panama.
The Year will run until March 2019
