On Saturday 3rd September four Jesuit novices from three countries made their first vows at St Mary's Church, Harborne, Birmingham. Richard from the UK professed his vows alongside Mantas and Aurimas from Lithuania and Bastiaan from the Netherlands. A fifth novice will be making his vows later this month in New York. They now begin the next stage in their formation, studying philosophy and theology as 'scholastics'.

A few days before the ceremony six new novices entered the noviciate, joining the seven who are just beginning their second year. Please pray for them, and for all candidates, postulants, novices and discerners within the Ignatian family.
