Sadly, the Jesuit Volunteers Community programme is due to close this summer. In announcing this in February, the JVC team said
"JVC has offered a great experience to volunteers an...d a valuable service to projects working with marginalised people in Britain for over 26 years, but as you all know, it’s been increasingly difficult to fund such an all-embracing experience, even with the help of very generous donors. The decision was a very hard one, and had to be made because of the limited resources available."
However, the programme continues to operate as fully as ever, and does not intend to close with a whimper! As their spring ENews shows, there's still a lot of action and reflection taking place!
