A Jesuit artist based at St Beuno's has just completed a new sculpture of the Nativity for Bangor Cathedral. The base of the statue will have a small plaque, inscribed with some words of Pope Francis:
Nativity – This is God – God is tenderness.
Even though we are in Lent, the central messages of this sculpture - God's tenderness and loving presence in our world - belong to all seasons, especially in this Year of Mercy.
