Plater College archives donated to the Jesuits

The Jesuit Archives in London have recently acquired the remaining archive of Plater College, the former Catholic Workers' College in Oxford. The collection includes papers, photos and artefacts from the College's 80-year history. The college was named after Father Charles Plater SJ (1875-1921), who brought retreats, study groups and evening classes to working people. For over 80 years Plater College provided further educational opportunities - with an emphasis on Catholic Social Teaching - to mature students whose studies had been curtailed or interrupted.
